“Be Fearless in the Pursuit of What Sets Your Soul On-Fire” – unknown
A little bit about "ME"
I have always loved a picture, If it's an old family photograph or just a simple snap shot of my loved ones. Growing up I had photos all over my room. I just love my people (my family) and I wanted to see them every chance I get. So, I love photos.
I grew up a tomboy, I guess you could say. There was nothing better than growing up with my Papa working on his farm, my brother and myself thought that was all there was in life. My Papa and Granny instilled a work ethic in me that I am truly thankful for. My Grandparents were the best people God put on this earth and in my siblings and my eyes. They were as close to God as you could get.
Once I became a mother myself, my children did not stand a chance of getting out from in front of my camera. As I continued to photograph my children, I had friend and family ask me to photograph them or their children. For 5 years I worked 2 jobs. I would work my day job and then once off work, I went on to my photos. Of course, I didn't start my business until my children were a little older. I didn't want to do anything that took away from them or my time with them. As any mom knows, children are a full-time job themselves.
My family means more that words can explain. Most my friend say my family is like a small little gang. "LOL" My sister is my biggest fan and greatest help. She helps me any chance she gets and works all my weddings with me! My mother is my biggest supporter and critic. If I need to know the truth, she is there to tell me. Mama is always there to lead me in the direction I need to go. My husband has spent many of hours looking at photos I have edited, or just setting in my office to spend time with me because he knows I will be editing away on the computer doing what I love. He encourages me every step of the way and is always there. I have a strong support system that has allowed me to make my dream a reality. I would not be where I am today without them all.
I enjoy the great outdoors, hunting, and fishing, and spending quality time with my friends and family. Fall is my favorite season, not only because it's the prime photo time of the year and I get to capture all the beautiful colors it offers, but also because it's Georgia Saturdays watching the Georgia Bulldogs play. "Girl knows she loves some football!! GOOO DAWGS!" Music is probably my second most favorite! When I work, I have to have a little bit of jams playing to get my creative juices flowing.
I started my photography journey in 2013 part-time and in May of 2018 I decided to take my photography adventure full time. I am very excited to see that the future hold for my little business!
